Yesterday I had a moment of realization – I tried something – not sure why, but I simply knelt down and looked at the world (literally) at my son’s height. When he came to me and wanted me to pretend with him in ‘his world’… It was much easier to ‘go along’ with him and see through his eyes, and talk about the things he wanted to talk about, rather than pass by the moment – thinking I don’t have time.
Parenting Lesson: get down (at their level) and listen, play, and love your kids!
